We provide social skills groups that are focused on the use of behavior analytic methods while ensuring we all have fun. We use evidence based resources to develop individualized skill development plans for each student. Our decisions are data-based and include the feedback, goals, and needs from the student and family. Our groups are interactive, play-based, engaging and fun! We emphasize learning by doing and engaging with others in a way that won't feel like work for anyone. We build skills with students so they can achieve their goals and live their best life!
How does it work?
Our groups are formed based on best fit and incorporates an assessment, while looking at age, areas of strengths and needs, and preferred activities. Through our assessment we determine current language skills, group setting skills, and the presence of any challenging or disruptive behaviors. From here, our groups are formed according to best fit. We include a variety of students, those with and without identified disabilities, but there is no distinction between who is a peer and who is a participant. Each group is individualized to each student based on assessment. Goals are developed for each student and these goals inform the development of the full group structure, routine, and activities selected. Our groups run in a multi-session fashion meeting over the course of 4 to 8 weeks, depending on needs and group fit.
After reviewing our primary groups below, if you're ready to learn more, complete the form for the group and we'll be in touch to schedule intake and assessments via virtual modes.
